Alvor is a quaint little fishing village, having wonderful white sandy beaches and a fantastic selection of restaurants and shops. It is set beneath the mountains of Monchique, and is central to many different golf courses which are within easy reach. At night, the streets of Alvor come alive with the sound of 'live music', friendly bars and wonderful fish restaurants, and you can meander through the cobbled streets at your leisure, perhaps stopping to try a selection of the many different wines and beers that are on offer.
